In Eidvegen, Ringjord Elektro has just installed another new building with solar cell roof tiles. In other words, the house produces electricity from its own roof. In this house, almost all the electricity produced is consumed, for example for charging electric cars, but any surplus power is sold back to the grid supplier - in this case, Troms Kraft Nett.

Many people still believe that solar cells belong to southern Norway, but that's not true. In fact, we have very good conditions for solar cell systems here in the north, with round-the-clock light in the summer months and favourable production conditions due to temperature. Many homeowners with such systems also report great pleasure in monitoring and producing their own electricity.
