In 2018, Ringjord bought the property in Eidkjosen with the specific aim of focusing on the maritime sector, and in 2020/21 Ringjord Maritim was up and running in full swing. Now the "shovel is in the ground" to develop the first part of the vision for the future:
A power centre for electronics learning on land and water, with its own deep-water quay for drop-in. Several new buildings are planned on the site - and these will accommodate the specialised areas in Ringjord, but also other natural tenants.
Beautiful newly refurbished premises
Ringjord Elektro's headquarters in Eidvegen has already been refurbished into beautiful, state-of-the-art premises - but several new neighbouring buildings are also planned, partly with a view to increasing maritime activities and leasing to other industries.
Modern maritime electrical customers don't come to the office - they dock
With the natural conditions for maritime activities in Eidkjosen, and with our own deep-water quay on the property, everything is in place for a completely new everyday life for maritime customers in particular. "Instead of docking somewhere else and having to send professionals by car, the boat owner or shipping company will be able to dock the boat with us for maritime maintenance, repairs, installations, etc." "It can be very costly for a boat owner to leave the boat at the quay when you should be at sea," says Jostein Pettersen, head of Ringjord Maritim.
A major upgrade of the existing quay is planned, so that the logistics of maritime repairs and installations will be unique.
Ship electrics, ship electronics and aquaculture
Ringjord Maritime currently offers the full range of services within maritime electrical engineering. With skilled professionals, we carry out electrical, electronics, automation and equipment sales throughout our region to large and small customers.
